In a powerful sermon delivered today being 24th September 2023, at Solemn Faith International Church, Federal Housing Estate in Woji, Port Harcourt, Pastor Mathew James Eleojo emphasized the importance of human intervention in one’s life journey.
Drawing from biblical references and real-life lessons, he provided insights into why we all need human connections and how to provoke them.
Pst. James began his message by asserting that no matter how anointed one may be, the role of human companionship cannot be replaced.
Quoting scriptures like 1 Kings 19:15-18 and Luke 6:12-13, he highlighted the significance of having people around us.
He emphasized that anointing can protect and attract people but stressed that it is one’s strategy that fuels the energy for victory in life’s battles. “Anointing is not for intimidation but for the liberation of mankind,” he said.
Pst. James went on to list four compelling reasons why human intervention is essential:
1. For Good Association and Right Company: He cited Genesis 2:18, Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, and Proverbs 13:20-27, emphasizing that being in the right place with the wrong people or the wrong place with the right people can hinder the fulfillment of destiny.
2. For Solid and Concrete Strategy: Quoting Joshua 6:1 and 1 Kings 19:15-18, he stressed the importance of strategic guidance from others.
3.For Upward Connection and Recommendation: Pst. James argued that connections and recommendations are vital for progress in life. He quoted Genesis 41 and Matthew 3:11-12 to support his point.
4. For Supernatural Supply and All-Round Provision: He shared that being in the right circles can lead to abundant provision, referencing Job 42:10-11 and Acts 2:45-47.
Pst. James also outlined four ways to encourage human intervention:
1. Seek Divine Touch: He urged the audience to pray for God to touch the hearts and hands of those around them, citing Exodus 35:22 and 1 Samuel 10:26.
2. Show Love and Care: Pst. James emphasized the importance of love and caring, drawing inspiration from Exodus 2:16-19 and Hebrews 13:1-2.
3. Respect Elders and Seek Their Counsel: Quoting 1 Kings 12:1-16, 1 Timothy 5:1, Proverbs 11:14, and Proverbs 24:6, he encouraged respecting elders and seeking their wisdom.
4. Be Truthful and Trustworthy: Pst. James concluded by stating that trustworthiness is crucial, referencing John 8:35 and Genesis 44:1-end.
He left the congregation with several powerful quotes, including, “No matter how far you have traveled on a wrong journey, your U-turn is the best option.”
Pst. Mathew Ele-Ojo James’s message resonated deeply with the attendees, underscoring the importance of human connections and the need for sincere, trustworthy relationships in the journey of life.
