Plot by Former Governor Yahaya Bello, of Kogi State to bribe Judges ahead of Kogi’s tribunal ruling has generated outrage among Nigerians.

To many who raised their concerns on social media, they described the development as shameful and a serious setback to Nigerian democracy.

To Mustapha, a Kano Politician, he writes, “it is disgraceful and shameful for wanted Yahaya Bello by Economic and Financial Crime Commission ( EFCC ) to still think of bribing Judges”.

” To Oyiza from Okene in Kogi State, she writes, ” the case of Kogi State on going tribunal is very clear for even the deaf and dumb to pass a valid judgement and any attempt by those Judges to subvert the will of the people will spell doom”.

To Omakoji from Dekina, ” we know Yahaya Bello deserves an award in bribing and corruption because of his past record but the Judges involved in the ongoing Kogi’s tribunal court case are to be warned not to allow themselves to be bought by Yahaya Bello’s Dollars hence, they will regret subverting justice as is not going to be business as usual “.

To one Ojo from Adavi in Kogi Central he writes, ” “we know that Bello and Ododo are loosers in the ongoing Kogi’s tribunal court case but any attempt to buy judiciary by anybody against the will of the people will result to anarchy “.

To Karimu from Okehi in Kogi Central, he writes, ” I was once Bello’s supporter but having understood the magnitude of the money he has stolen from Kogi, his plot to bribe Judges in favour of Ododo will bring not just anarchy but unending riot in my dear State Kogi. God forbid as I expect the Judges to do the right thing”.

Ogriya also writes from Abuja, ” Judges are to be careful in this Tinubu ‘s regime as they are not going to enjoy bribery as they did during President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime because, we shall go after them and their wards if they act otherwise “.

Several other people who expressed their concerns called on the relevant authorities to monitor those judges and ensure that Yahaya Bello, who is acting like semi god doesn’t have his way this time around.

Recall that the internet was on fire on Thursday following a leak WhatsApp chat among Ododo’s Kitchen cabinet where Former Governor Yahaya Bello was quoted saying in a group chat that he has perfected all arrangements to bribe Judges handling Kogi’s Election Tribunal in Dollars assuring them that, with the huge money earmarked for that purpose, they will subvert justice and win at the Tribunal.

A development that has been condemned by all meaningful Nigerians across the country.
