AD MEDINA, an NGO known for community development, has donated a motorized borehole to Tunga Maje, a community under the Gwagwalada Area Council of Abuja.
The Chairman of the NGO, Alhaji Yakubu Gowon Adama, disclosed this to newsmen in Abuja on Thursday, 23rd April 2026, while briefing them on the organisation’s activities for the fiscal year.
Speaking further, Alhaji Yakubu Gowon Adama expressed concern that Tunga Maje, a suburb of Abuja, has been facing acute water shortages.
He noted that the rapid population growth in the area, resulting from urban-rural migration and the rising cost of house rent in the city centre of Abuja, has made it necessary to support the community with an essential need such as water supply.
He added that several other communities within Abuja and Kogi State have been earmarked for similar interventions in the coming weeks.
AD MEDINA is an NGO established to provide basic amenities and facilities to underserved communities in Nigeria and beyond.
