Kogi State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (#PDP) has threatened to seek legal action against Governor Yahaya Bello of All Progressive Congress (APC) if Kogi State Governor pulls down any of the party’s billboard insisting that it is against the electoral law.
The #PDP in a statement signed by Achadu Dickson, Director Research and Documentation, says the Governor has no right to order for the dismantling of other party’s billboard.
The party maintained that the election in Kogi State is not yet over until after the supreme court judgement, expressing confidence that it will reclaim its victory as freely given to the #PDP in the November 16, Governorship election.
The #PDP says enough of humiliation and harassment of other party’s by APC led government in Kogi State because the tatatatata episode is still lingering in people’s mind, said rather than good Governance what the state is witnessing is intimidation and total abuse of power.
The party added that in situation whereby APC’s billboards are all everywhere including some government offices but move to remove PDP’s own in some approved places is nothing but intimidation and excess power.
#PDP advised Governor Yahaya Bello to focus on leadership in acting capacity as the stolen mandate witnessed by the whole world would soon be reclaimed.
