PDP Chieftain Scorns At Ibro’s Unforgiveness Habit As He Says,”We Are Tired Of Begging Him In Every Election

A former Senator and Board of Trustees Member of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Senator Ibrahim Mantu has denied the insinuation that the party National headquarter is not doing anything concerning the lingering crisis in Kogi state chapter of the PDP.

The former deputy senate president said they have done everything they can to resolve the crisis amicably except the option of sanction that is left on the table.

He alleged that Governor Seyi Makinde, the incumbent governor of Oyo state met Alhaji Ibrahim Idris Ibro on the need to forgive and let go of his grievances for the interest of the party and the people of Kogi state that are being deprived of good governance but the former governor who is also an in-law to the party candidate Engr Musa Wada refused.

He snubbed governor Makinde; who incidentally was the returning officer of the party for the Kogi state November 16th gubernatorial election.

“A man who refused to listen to a governor like Makinde who else will he listens?”, the former Senator asked.

The BoT member speaking with SPACE FM 90.1 FM in Ibadan on Tuesday following the court ruling that nullified the Party primaries in Kogi state, decried the the crisis that ordinarily should be a minor one considering the fact that Engr Musa Wada is also an in-law to the former Governor.

The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain from plateau state also gave account of how it has become annual ritual for the party leaders to go and beg Alhaji Ibrahim Idris Ibro in every election right from the time he was a governor till date.

He account how some BoT members from Wadata plaza begged the former Governor over his misunderstanding with the defunct Afri Bank Executive Director Jibrin Isah Echocho.

He also gave account of how they begged him in 2015 to allow Capt Idris Wada who is his bestfriend to get the party nomination for the second term in office, said they are are tired of begging Kogi state former Governor in every election year.

He also confirmed that the party’s National Working Committee and National Executive Committee will look into the crisis just as they did in Lagos and Ogun states chapters with view of resolving the crisis.

Meanwhile Kogi state election Tribunal sitting in Abuja has commenced the verification of voters and has already inspected registered voters in Okehi, Ajaokuta and Kotonkarfi local government areas.
