Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduanghan, representing Kogi Central senatorial district, has collaborated with the MTN Foundation to deliver much-needed relief materials to orphanages within the district.
This initiative falls within the corporate social responsibility framework of the telecommunications giant to the senatorial district.
The handover ceremony, held at Darul-Arqam Okene, saw the presence of key representatives from MTN Nigeria including Ebubechukwu Ndulue, the Sales Specialist, and Adaku Ndukwe, the Project Coordinator of MTN Foundation.
Their presence ensured that the items delivered aligned with the needs of the recipients.
Dr. Etudaiye Salami, legislative aide to Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, was also in attendance alongside representatives from various beneficiary orphanages including Muhammad Lukman from Darul-Arqam, Muhammad Awal from MASWAJ Orphanage Foundation, Pst. Subaru Adomu from Oyiza Salem Divine Orphanage Home, Ochuva Abdulazeez from Orphans Friends Foundation, and Usman Lukman Ozovehe from RAAAF Foundation.
Among the items distributed were essential provisions such as rice, vegetable oil, spaghetti, soap, disinfectants, beverages, garri, milk, red oil, seasoning, detergent, sugar, and yam.
The orphanages that benefited from this commendable gesture include Darul-Arqam Okene, MASWAJ Orphanage Foundation, RAAAF Foundation, Orphans Friends Foundation, and Oyiza Salem Divine Orphanage Home.
