Excitement was the central theme of Pastor Mathew Eleojoh James‘ sermon at Solemn Faith International Church, located at Road 21, Plot 14, Federal Housing Estate, Woji, Port Harcourt.

During the Sunday service on March 30, 2025, he passionately declared that being excited attracts empowerment.

His message focused on the divine connection between joy and spiritual strength, emphasizing that a life filled with excitement leads to a life of dominion.

Delivering his sermon titled “Oil of Gladness for Walking in Dominion,” he illuminated the concept of divine gladness, describing it as a special anointing that enables believers to experience divine favor.

He explained that gladness represents a state of being uplifted by good news, joy, and holiness, making it a vital component of a fulfilled life.

He highlighted how joy brings vitality, strength, and divine alignment, ensuring that individuals remain in tune with God’s purpose for their lives.

The significance of maintaining an excited spirit was heavily emphasized.

He spoke of the relationship between joy and divine empowerment, stating that excitement fuels the ability to thrive spiritually, mentally, and physically.

He pointed out that those who cultivate excitement experience all-round fruitfulness, unwavering faith, and an unshakable commitment to their divine assignments.

A life filled with joy enables people to overcome obstacles, achieve greatness, and witness the fulfillment of divine prophecies.

In an inspiring tone, he stressed that excitement is not just an emotional state but a reflection of one’s commitment to God.

He described it as a weapon against sickness, a shield against wickedness, and a source of boldness and confidence in God’s promises.

According to him, the ability to maintain joy ensures that one remains fit, energized, and resilient in the face of adversity.

He emphasized that those who embrace joy and excitement are positioned for divine placement, expansion, and ultimate achievement in life.

Pastor Mathew underscored the key factors necessary to sustain the oil of gladness, starting with a love for righteousness.

He explained that righteousness fosters an atmosphere of divine presence, enabling believers to experience unending joy.

The word of God was highlighted as a crucial source of this joy, serving as an ever-flowing fountain of gladness that renews the spirit.

He further mentioned obedience and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit as essential elements that ensure continuous excitement and empowerment.

Offering practical counsel, he encouraged the congregation to be intentional about their excitement, refusing to let people or circumstances dictate their state of joy.

He warned against allowing external influences to disrupt their sense of gladness and urged them to remain steadfast in their faith, ensuring that their excitement is deeply rooted in God’s word. His call to action resonated with the audience, inspiring them to cultivate a lifestyle centered around joy and positivity.

Concluding his message, he reinforced the power of excitement in shaping a successful life. He proclaimed that an excited person is one who excels, advances, and experiences divine goodness. He further emphasized that joy serves as a catalyst for change, a foundation for fruitfulness, and a pathway to greatness. In his final words, he declared that a life filled with excitement is not only a healthy one but also a life of evidence and empowerment, where confidence is built, and results are inevitable.
