Pastor Emi Jackson of Winners Chapel, Port Harcourt, has emphasized the central place of gratitude in the believer’s life, declaring that appreciation for the simple gift of breath is foundational to enjoying God’s provision.

He made this declaration while ministering as a guest preacher at Solemn Faith International Church, located at Road 21, Plot 14, Federal Housing Estate, Woji, Port Harcourt.

Speaking on the theme “The Power of Gratitude,” with a scriptural focus drawn from Exodus 15:11, Pastor Jackson described gratitude as a profound spiritual posture that acknowledges God’s nature, His works, and

His unfailing power. According to him, gratitude begins with recognizing God for who He is glorious in holiness, awesome in praise, and a God of wonders whose mighty acts are evident throughout Scripture.

He explained that thanksgiving is not limited to what God has already done, but also includes confidence in what He is able to do and assurance of what He will yet accomplish.

Throughout the message, Pastor Jackson noted that gratitude is a responsibility believers owe God, as every living soul is sustained by divine mercy.

He explained that a thankful heart preserves blessings, attracts answers to prayers, and keeps believers aligned with God’s purpose. In his words, gratitude safeguards freedom, sustains divine favour, and prevents spiritual dryness, while ingratitude weakens faith and stifles growth.

He further taught that genuine gratitude produces visible spiritual fruits, including inner peace, contentment, strengthened faith, and a compelling testimony.

According to him, thanksgiving expressed with gladness, holiness, and righteousness opens the door to sudden miracles, noting that God responds to thanksgiving with the same attentiveness He gives to prayers.

He added that rejoicing in the testimonies of others positions a believer for their own breakthrough.
One of the most striking moments of the sermon was Pastor Jackson’s reminder that praise is sustained by gratitude, stressing that until a person learns to be thankful for breath, they may struggle to enjoy daily provision.

He concluded by encouraging the congregation to cultivate a lifestyle of thanksgiving, assuring them that gratitude shifts lives from lack to abundance.

In his closing remarks, the General Overseer of Solemn Faith International Church, Pastor Mathew Eleojoh James , expressed heartfelt appreciation to Pastor Jackson for delivering what he described as a sincere and undiluted message of God’s word.

He admonished members of the congregation to go beyond hearing the message by putting its teachings into daily practice, emphasizing that obedience is the true proof of gratitude to God.
