Lokoja – Itobe road is currently closed due to heavy traffic jam on Itobe – bridge. According to eye witness, Isah Wada, the traffic jam is occasioned by closure of one lane of the bridge which has forced commuters coming from the eastern part and those from the northern part of the country to use one lane. As a result, thousand of motorists are currently stranded on the said bridge. The outbreak of of COVID-19 cases in the last few days has forced the Federal Government to issue a new order to all civil servants from Grade Level, GL 12 and below under its employment to stay at home immediately.
