According to Dailypost report, on Saturday in Abuja it was disclosed by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Job Creation and Youth Employment, Afolabi Imoukheude, who addressed the beneficiaries that the President Muhammadu Buhari government has sacked over 5,781 N-power beneficiaries of their duties for truancy.

The Aide to the President said that complaints received from the places of primary assignment of the affected beneficiaries over truancy and lazy attitude were getting too much. He said that even when letters were written to them to explain themselves, most of them did not comply so government had to sack them.

Afolabi said, When they get report of people who play truancy they usually place their payment on hold. In N-power you learn, work and earn. So If you do not do the right thing and you are paid, you are stealing the money. Which belongs to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He said There has been so many insinuations around ghost workers in N-power, but there are no ghost workers in N-power. There cannot even be because having conducted a physical verification and confirming those who come into the programme for them not to exist.

On Those who do not receive alert, He said It is because of validation and we try to contact beneficiaries via phone number, email address to go regularize yourself with your bank and update your details.
