The 36-state representatives of N-Power volunteers plus the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have condemned the disengagement of N-Power Batch A and B beneficiaries at this critical time of Covid-19 when other Nations of the world are providing employment for their wards.

The group lamented that, “disengaging Batch A and B beneficiaries will ‘defeat the purpose’ of the Federal Government’s N-Power scheme”.

The Representatives Forum made this known on Monday in Ilorin, Kwara State, during its maiden edition of national media conference concerning the scheme’s transition plan, payment of backlogs, devices collection for Batch B and some of Batch A.

In a Press Release signed by the National President of the body, Kabiru Aliyu Pelemi, urged the Federal Government to quickly implement the transition program for the exited N-Power Volunteers latest by October 1st, 2020 to reduce the suffering already meted out on them.

“The disengagement of N-Power beneficiaries without adequate transitioning has skyrocketed the unemployment rate within the most productive age bracket.

This will definitely put the crime rate on the rise, thereby increasing the level of insecurity across the country,” the release reads in part.

“It will also continue to affect the economy as most of the disengaged volunteers are in their productive age. It will render the program useless as its original motive would have been defeated.

“It will also increase the level of distrust the youth already perceived of the government.”

Investigation by ourworldgist revealed that these Nigerian youths were exited from the N-Power scheme by the Federal Government without being paid their stipends for the month of July plus their current backlogs of some beneficiaries running to over billion of Naira and other lingering issues like not issuance of Device and other welfare packages.

Meanwhile, amidst of all these happenings, the minister in charge of the program formerly known as ” Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq is said to be enjoying Honeymoon at the moment as she had secretly got entangled with the current Chief of Air Staff ( Abubakar Sadiq ) to President Muhammadu Buhari last Saturday on a low key.

According to picture running around on social media, the reason for the secret wedding or why on low key was not given.

With this development, we expect change of name as the woman appear on media any moment from now.
