Nigerians can now access up to N25Million in cash as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), through NIRSAL Microfinance Bank reopened its portal for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and households affected by COVID-19 to benefit from special intervention fund made available for above categories of businesses.
Bashir Ahmad, the Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media made this known to press men on Friday being 11th June 2021
Part of his statement reads: “The CBN, through @NirsalMFB introduces a stimulus package to support households and MSMEs affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. An individual can access up to N25million”
Aimed at supporting the vulnerable MSMEs in the payroll obligations of over 500,000 employees , President Muhammadu Buhari led government announced that the MSME Survival Fund Payroll Support Portal would be exceptionally reopened for 30 states that had been unable to meet their quotas.
To be eligible, prospective applicants:
1. Must be a Nigerian
2. Must have a defined business
3. Must have an account with any commercial bank in Nigeria
4. Must have BVN, Utility bill, and any means of identification to be one of: National identity card, Voters’ card, International passport or Driving Licence
5. Most importantly, applicants must have a good “BUSINESS PLAN” to capture the business at a glance.
