President of N-POWER Batches A & B  Comrade Kabiru Aliyu Pelemi, addresses beneficiaries amidst Nexit grant delay.

His unedited speech reads:

“Solidarity greetings to all N-Power Volunteers and Nigerian Youth*

I hope this message meet you well.

Due to some calls and messages I received from some volunteers, I decided to write this message.

I want to assure you all that we are doing our best to make sure that the federal government through Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development fulfill its promise.

The honorable minister, in her several interviews, videos and her tweets categorically stated that N-Power volunteers will be given exit package. These are indisputable facts available at our disposal.

You can all recall vividly when we staged a peaceful protest on 23rd of July, 2020 in Abuja and the subsequent National Media Press Conference in Kwara State on September, those events led to her promise which till date, is yet to be fulfilled.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs has been using different delay tactics and media propaganda all this while without fulfilling her exit package through their purported NEXIT Portal they hurriedly created in December, 2020 and they are yet to pay over 14,200 unpaid Volunteers 5 months stipend till date.

I want to use this medium to advise all N-Power volunteers to please build more on what we can lay our hands on and also pray along this struggle to end in praise for us all because we are not giving up on this struggle.

You all know that N-Power Volunteers gave about 20% of votes in 2019 election to this present administration but they have abandoned us.

My fellow Volunteers, we can still do it again but in another dimension. We all need to unite together and speak in one voice to have a say before 2023 general election.

Even as N-Power has come and gone, we will remain United and become the largest Forum that will mobilize youth to support good governance towards the change we all desired for Nigeria.

36 States and FCT N-Power Representatives Forum is still doing its best to make sure the exit package is implemented.

We will need the full support of Nigerian Youth to achieve this because States Reps can’t do it alone.

We promise to keep you updated always and we hope for a better Nigeria we all desire.

Thanks”.

Recall that  Minister Umar Sadiya on behalf of federal government promised Nexit grant to disengaged N-POWER beneficiaries since May 2020 but a year plus has come and go but the promised remained unfulfilled.
