Attention of the Security Agents across Kogi State and Nigeria at large has been drawn by the spoke person of Igala Youth Vanguard, Comrade Lawrence Akpa, over the plot by some suspected All Progressive Congress’s ( APC ), members in the state to embark on intimidation, unlawful arrest and frame up of the Peoples Democratic Party’s ( PDP ) Supporters.

Briefing the press men at Lokoja, Kogi State capital, Mr Lawrence alleged that there was a minatory plot in place by APC in Kogi East particularly in Dekina Local Government to clamp down PDP’s Supporters and some PDP’s loyalists as part of the strategy in place to destruct 2023 general election in Kogi East.

Mr Lawrence said, ” A meeting by some APC’s members from Kogi East, was held at Lokoja and Anyigba between on Sunday and Monday during the week to execute this sinister plot”.

Mr Lawrence added, “part of their resolution was to attack PDP’s Supporters with a perfected plot to name them bad eggs in the society”.

He revealed, ” they also penciled down some PDP’s stakeholder names in Anyigba, Dekina, Egume, Abocho, Emewe and Ogbabede that must be framed up and arrested to justify their evil agenda”.

He speaks further: ” you recall that during the November 2019 Kogi gubernatorial election where Helicopters and Thugs were used to rig, some PDP’s loyalists in Kogi East, were framed up before the election and were subsequently arrested and detained at the order of the government in power”.

” The illegal arrest and unlawful detention of PDP’s stakeholder in Ajiolo in person of former Deputy commissioner of Police, Mr Ejeh Adoka was and is still fresh in our minds”.

“Do you know that, recently to test run their minatory plot, these people recently destroyed businesses belong to PDP’s loyalists including that of Bet 9ja shop in Anyigba belong to Alhaji RealOne?”

” These people are so satanic that they have perfected plan to use Vigilante as one of their tools to carry out their evil enterprise “.

” Perhaps, Vigilante would be used to plant guns and dangerous weapons in PDP’s stakeholder houses in those towns mentioned above and these stakeholders would be subsequently arrested”.

” This is like calling a dog evil names in order to justify its unlawful execution”.

” It is not surprising therefore that members of Vigilante who are supposed to be apolitical were recently used to decamp to the APC in Abocho and Emewe”.

Mr Lawrence who was visibly looking very angry also said, “my pain in this development is that, this evil can only happen in Kogi East, as Kogi West and Kogi Central are free of this barbaric behaviour”.

He added, ” while we would not fold our arms to see this evil happen in our land again, we call on the security agents across board and the Chief security officer of Kogi State and Nigeria at large not to treat this alarm with levity”.

” The security unit who is battling with banditry, bokoharam, unknown gun men and other criminal elements in the country are already over stressed to start facing another fresh political upheaval in Kogi East “.

” Therefore, it is wise something is done urgently by the government of the day to avert impending reprisal attack that might degenerate into political crisis “.
