Ahead of Kogi Gubernatorial election slated for November 11th 2023, the All Progressieve Congress, ( APC ) Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Honourable Muritala Yakubu Ajaka has resigned his position to seek his political ambition else where after Governor Yayaha Bello manipulated the primary election to favour his cousin, Ahmed Usman Ododo.

In a letter addressed to the National Chairman of the party dated 17th April, 2023, Honourable Muritala Yakubu Ajaka thanked the party and Members of the National Working Committee ( NWC ) for giving him opportunity to serve noting that, the tireless effort of the party has earned the party victory in the last presidential election which saw Senator Ahmed Bola Asiwaju Tinubu emerged as the president of Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Honourable Muritala Yakubu Ajaka explained that his resignation of the above position is consequent to his earlier withdrawal of his membership as communicated in writing to the Chairman of APC Ajaka ward I, Igala-Mela Odolu Local Government Area, of Kogi State.

Though, Honourable Muritala Yakubu Ajaka, did not indicate in his letter that he resigned his membership of APC to join another political party which is to enable him pursue his gubernatorial ambition, however, independent investigation by  OurWorldGist revealed that in few days from now, Honourable Muritala Yakubu Ajaka, will officially join Social Democratic Party ( SDP ) and also declare his intention to join Kogi Gubernatorial race under the platform of SDP.W
