A renowned Igala Nollywood Actor / Filmmaker, Mr Thompson Makolo. has announced that the much anticipated film #AwomiMovie was ready for premiere.
In a private conversation with OurWorldGist, Mr Thompson Makolo, said #AwomiMovie which has taken substantial money and reasonable time of investment which is ready for public consumption would be premiered at Ata Igala Palace Idah on 10th December 2022.
Mr Thompson Makolo, who is also the producer of #AwomiMovie has in a private chat appreciated Ata Igala and President, Kogi State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Majesty Dr Matthew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa II for his royal blessings and an honour for granting approval for #AwomiMovie to be shot in his Palace.
Mr Thompson Makolo, explained that #Awomi, is “a tale of two brothers where the sanctity of filial affinity of brotherhood is chattered by the proverbial step mother’s syndrome: as encapsulated in most African folktales.
” The nagging quest for self preservation drives a mother to the brim in a spell binding plot twist of fate.
“The tragic consequence of a step mother exchange of the destiny of her son with that of step son becomes the turning point in this great story call #Awomi”.
He speaks further, ” Awo mi is a cultural product, an economic resource which embodies an artistic content for the international market space”.
The Filmaker, Thomson Makolo in this movie, brings to bear a perspective that project an artistic sagacity drench in the rich cultural fountain of the Igala people.
