Nigerian Highlife Music Mastreo, Victor Olaiya Passes On

The Veteran Nigerian highlife music singer, Victor Olaiya has passed on at the age of 89.

Victor Olaiya passed on at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).

Victor Olaiya’s death was confirmed to Press Men by Michael Odion of Premiere Music, the record label that holds Victor Olaiya’s music repertoire.

According to Odion, the Baby Jowo crooner died around noon on Wednesday being 12th February, 2020.

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, the family of Victor Olaiya is yet to make official statement concerning his demise.

However, despite not hearing from Victor Olaiya’s family, ourworldgist can authoritatively confirm that he has passed on.

Victor Olaiya, a native of Ekiti state, Nigeria was among the early highlife singer that took highlife music to the most admirable level around early 80’s.

Victor Olaiya has recently collaborated with popular Nigerian versatile singer, Innocent Idibia ( 2Face ).
