Barely a week that Npower Beneficiaries across 36 states of the federation and FCT protested at the National Assembly over their sudden disengagement from the scheme without “enhancement scheme or permanency ” as earlier promised them, the Minister in charge of Npower, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq who is acting like semi god has sponsored some PDP members from Nasarawa state to her office and Aso Rock on thank you visit to President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to ourworldgist investigation, the fellow who led the protest was one “Kabiru Dallah” a PDP Youth leader from Angwatashi, Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
Shittu Zakari who broke the news to ourworldgist said, ” Kabiru Dallah” is a loyalist of Former Senator Solomon Adokwe ( PDP) of Nasarawa South Senatorial zone.
Information added that the erstwhile senator was later defeated by Senator Umaru Tanko Almakura of All Progressive Congress ( APC ) in the last 2019 general elections.
Shittu Zakari said Kabiru Dallah was mobilized to recruit youth to carry out the kangaroo “thank you tour” as none of those people that protested is an Npower beneficiary.
Meanwhile, the Npower across the 36 states of the federation plus FCT has on Tuesday evening issued a strong notice of warning to Hajiya Sadiya Farouq Umar and those helping her to stage media war against Npower Beneficiaries to stay clear as any subsequent attempt would be resisted.
The statement added that we the Npower Beneficiaries are law abiding citizens of Nigeria and they deserve to live a better life like any other Nigerian as the recent move to disengage them without permanency or substantial grant like a million Naira to each beneficiary is a plot to further impoverish million of Nigerians as many Families are depending heavily on the N30,000 monthly stipend.
The statement went further to state, ” the unfolding scenario by Hajiya Sadiya Farouq Umar has confirmed the fact that she has interior motive towards Npower Beneficiaries that noble President Muhammadu Buhari and other stakeholders are yet to discover “.
The statement reads in full:
” We forever grateful to President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President, Processor Yemi Osinbajo, Nigerian Lawmakers, and other stakeholders who have thought out the programme to reduce the problem of unemployment and youth restiveness.
Though the programme was initially designed for two years but there has been issue of enhancement scheme (permanency leading to sustainable job) as the second phase of the programme.
Hope further rekindled when government came out openingly to say our vote during 2019 election is our permanency.
This made our members to mobilise family members and friends to vote massively for APC at all levels.
The video evident of our mega rally to that enterprise in solidarity of our honest and adorable President Muhammadu Buhari is still in our phones and on youtube to verify.
Things were going on well when the programme was under Professor Yemi Osinbajo until this woman came on board and we suddenly began to experience delay of stipend which later culminated into stager payments and now many months of backlogs being owed legitimate and law abiding beneficiaries who have worked under the rain and sun to justify the stipend.
At a time, we learnt that the woman was using our money to do FOREX trading but we never took it serious however, we now believe that statement if the same woman can claim to have used billion of Naira feeding pupils at home during COVID-19 lockdown.
What it means is that she was feeding those pupils from homes who were locked down with their parents at home.
Again, we learnt that the woman is nurturing political ambition come 2023 and she needed to empower youths in her area to help her actualize her political aspiration in return come 2023 and she has to lobby round to introduce batch C.
Unfortunately, unknown to our honest president Muhammadu Buhari, the so-called batch C slots are being shared among some compromised stakeholders.
These days, if we want to agitate, the woman will mischievously come out to say, Batches A and B remain worthy Ambassadors of Npower but they have to go for batch C to come in.
The point must be made here that we are not against batch C coming into the programme but must we go for them to come in?
Don’t we have enough resource to accommodate upto to even batch Z?
The irony of this game being played by Hajiya Sadiya for her selfish interest is that, she is presenting it as if batches A and B are the obstacles why batch C cannot come in.
Dishearteningly, poor batch C who are not even sure of their fate are on social media singing songs of solidarity for Hajiya Sadiya Farouq that she is doing well.
To cut our long plight short, we want to categorically say that we are not going to live Sadiya to create untold hardship to over 10 million families in Nigeria as the multiplier effect of that money goes along way.
We protested peacefully across some major offices in Abuja and made our demand known as we duly deserve it as the citizens of Nigeria.
Again we are law abiding citizens, not Bokoharam, neither Militants hence, we have deplored the most civilised way to demand for our right and no amount of intimidation, media propaganda through Vanguard newspaper and Guardian Newspaper will stop this agitation.
At this point, we want to use this medium to warn those erring newspapers who cannot uphold the tenet of journalism to henceforth be objective in their reportage or stay clear of media propaganda.
If we may ask, where were those newspapers when we protested in the heart of Abuja?
What stopped them from carrying our news with our demands stated clearly?
Do they expect us to bribe them like others bribe them before they carry our news?
Must Sadiya who has no idea and philosophy behind how Npower scheme was formed disengage us amid COVID-19 pandemic when it is difficult to get alternative jobs?
If Sadiya Umar Farouq is sincere, why has she not perfected “enhancement scheme” before embarking on “disengagement”?
If not wickedness, since she stopped paying us, how does she expect us to survive with our families henceforth?
She claimed over 100,000 Npower Beneficiaries have established their own businesses with N30,000 stipends; why we demand why this lie, can she go round with us with Panel of enquiry set up by us to show us where those people are doing their businesses?
If the woman claimed some civil servants are mostly beneficiaries of Npower, we challenge her to publish those names and engage the real Npower with immediate effect.
Let us equally stress that Hajiya Sadiya Farouq Umar can continue with her plea bargain with some corrupt elements at the disadvantage of Npower Beneficiaries and equally go ahead to speak ill against us using media or equally use potential batch C against us whose unknown to them their slots have been shared… but by God’s grace, she will be put to shame at the end of the day.
At this point, we wish to say that we shall not give up until our demands are meant.
Finally, as we enjoin our members in Kastina and other neighbouring states to come out and meet with President Muhammadu Buhari on their crested Npower T-shirt and face cap on 31st July as earlier announced, we want to once again warn those “None Npower Beneficiaries who are being sponsored by Hajiya Sadiya Farouq Umar” not try such gimmick with us in Kastina else they will live to regret their evil plot against us.
