The Federal University of Technology, Owerri ( FUTO) has on Wednesday being 16th February 2022 announced her decision via her official twitter handle @MFaarees to take Academic Staff University Union to court for questioning the professorship of one of her old student, Pantami Hafizahullah.

According to the University, #ASUU  has no right to regulate appointments and promotions because such things according to them are arrived at the discretion of National University Commission ( NUC ) guidelines.

Pantami Hafizahullah who is a graduate of the university of FUTO is currently the Minister of communication to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

OurWorldGist can Recall that #ASUU has on Monday being 14th February 2022 threatened to sanction FUTO for awarding professorship to Pantami whom #ASUU feels his disposition towards her demand as the spokesperson of the Federal Government does not show he is actually a professor who feels the pains of the union.
