Ogbabede,  in Dekina Local Government Area, Kogi State – In a resounding display of support, the people of Ogbabede have unanimously embraced Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka, a candidate from the Social Democratic Party (SDP), for the upcoming Kogi gubernatorial election scheduled for November 11th, 2023.

This enthusiastic endorsement was revealed during a mega rally held on Sunday, September 17th, 2023, organized by UDAMA IGALA ASSOCIATION WORLDWIDE and I.C.D.A

The residents of Ogbabede expressed their strong desire for change, citing a lack of development and presence by the current administration led by Governor Yahaya Bello in their area.

Mr. Gabriel Isah Odiba, the National President of the Agada Development Association (ADA), conveyed Ogbabede’s sentiments, emphasizing their longing for prosperity, development, and progress under Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka’s leadership, not just for their locality but for all of Kogi State.

Alhaji Ajabi, a respected chieftain of the area known for his integrity, voiced his confidence in MURI/SAM, stating that voting for them represents a path to collective prosperity.

He declared their commitment to ensuring MURI/SAM secures the mandate, promising total victory in Ogbabede.

Comrade Paul Damodu, Chairman of the Agada Welfare Association in Abuja, echoed the sentiment, stating that Ogbabede would overwhelmingly support MURI/SAM.

He emphasized their dissatisfaction with Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration, asserting that enough is enough.

Engr. Abija, the campaign coordinator for Ogbabede, expressed the community’s strong affection for Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka, vowing that their support would be reflected in the outcome of the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Kogi State.

He underlined that Ogbabede, like the rest of the state, sees promise in MURI/SAM’s candidacy and is eager to make their voices heard.

The mega rally witnessed a significant turnout, with representatives from each polling unit in Ogbabede present.

Ogbabede, known as the engine room of Dekina Local Government, holds a unique position due to its large size and estimated population of over 60,000 people.

The Kogi gubernatorial election is set to take place on September 11th, 2023.

The people of Ogbabede have made their choice clear, rallying behind Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka and the SDP as they seek a new direction for their state.
