Scorecard: Senator Jibrin Echocho’s 89 Variable Senatorial Projects

As part of scorecard to showcase his constituency’s projects, Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho, a senator representing Kogi East under All Progressive Congress ( APC ), has released 89 notable projects embarked upon and completed.

According to the breakdown of the projects, the projects are spreaded across the nine Local Government Areas of Kogi East.

The scorecard involves sponsoring of bills and physical projects.

The scorecard which is in two phases are painstakingly documented as follows:
Bills:
1.Bill for the Establishment of Federal Eye Centre, Ochadamu;

2.Bill for the Establishment of Orthopedic Hospital in Dekina;

3.Bill for the upgrade of College of Education, Ankpa to Federal University of Education;

4.Bill for the Establishment of the Nigeria Cashew Crop Processing Agency;

5.Bill for the Establishment of the Nigeria Capital Market Development Fund

6.Bill on Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act, (Repeal Enactment).

(ii) Motions:

1.Motion for the Rehabilitation of Shintaku, Anyigba road;

2.Motion for the completion of Abadigba power project at Egume;

3.Motion for the Rehabilitation of Itobe-Ajaokuta road;

4.Motion for the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management and other relevant organization to provide aid for the displaced persons in communities in Bassa LGA;

5.Urgent need for the completion of the Junior Girls Model Secondary School, Odu-Okpiyegede in Dekina LGA;

6.Urgent need for completion and Take-Off of the Federal Government Aquaculture Project at Idah;

7.Need for Expeditious completion of Rail Line From Ajaokuta in Kogi State to Otukpo in Benue State;

8.Urgent need for Rehabilitation of Communities affected by rainstorm in Olamaboro LGA;

9.Urgent need for the Rehabilitation of Communities affected by communal Clashes in Omala LGA.

Speaking to journalists, Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho says, “Social responsibility in a democracy is predicated on the basic assumption that the man on whom a mandate is vested is endowed with a communal voice.

Therefore, the tissues of his work and actions pulsate with an energy that is public in origin. He addresses himself to the problems, issues and challenges that engage his own people.

If a true democrat is one who responds or yields to society’s demand on him, making such demands to define the nature of his actions and activities, then Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho) is a role model in democratic consciousness”

Physical Projects:
ANKPA LGA:
1. Supply of 500KVA transformer in Olufofo, Ankpa LGA.
2. Supply of 500KVA transformer in Ejegbo, Ankpa LGA.
3. Supply of 500KVA transformer in Ofugo, Ankpa LGA.
4. Supply of 500KVA transformer in Inye, Ankpa LGA.
5. Provision of solar powered borehole in Emere, Ankpa LGA.
6. Provision of solar powered borehole in Emekutu, Ankpa LGA.
7. Provision of solar powered borehole in Mission street, Ankpa LGA.
8. Provision of solar powered borehole in Erane, and other places in Ankpa LGA.
9. Supply of tractor and farm implements to Ankpa LGA.
10. Youth and women Training and Empowerment program in cassava processing, Ankpa LGA
11. Youth and women Skil acquisition training and Empowerment program, Ankpa LGA
12. The Bill to convert the College of Education Ankpa to University of Education Ankpa, Ankpa LGA
13. Construction of 3 block of classroom in Enabo, Ankpa LGA.
14 Youth and women Skills acquisition training and Empowerment programs, Ankpa LGA.
15.Training and empowerment of women and youths in Agricultural Farm Produce, Ankpa LGA
16. Modern Integrated cassava processing plant in Ankpa LGA. (To commence soon)

IBAJI LGA:
17. Construction of Ultra modern Rice mill factory in Ejule Ojebe, in Ibaji LGA, with the supply of 500KVA transformer.
18. Youth and women Training and Empowerment program in rice processing using modern technology in Onyedega, Ibaji LGA.
19. Supply of tractor and farm implements in Ibaji LGA.
20. Youth and women Agriculture training and Empowerment program, Ibaji LGA.
21. Supply of medical equipment and drugs to primary Health Care in Ibaji LGA.

DEKINA LGA:
22. Reactivation of Acharu Oil mill with supply of infrastructures in Egume, Dekina LGA
23. Construction of Skills acquisition Center at Anyigba, Dekina LGA
24. Construction of, Odu, Ajagumu, Ajekelaga, Alokoli township road, Dekina LGA
25. Construction of solar powered borehole in Anyigba, Dekina LGA.
26. Construction of solar powered borehole in Dekina, Dekina LGA.
27. Construction of solar powered borehole at Okete, Dekina LGA.
28. Construction of solar powered borehole in Odu Anana, Dekina LGA.
29. Construction of Modern health care center at Okete, Dekina LGA.
30. Renovation of Dekina General Hospital
31. The Bill for Establishment of Orthopedic Hospital in Dekina, Dekina LGA.
32. Construction of solar powered borehole in Ogbaloto, Dekina LGA.

34. Donation of security vehicle for the vigilante group, Odu branch, Dikaina LGA.

37. Reactivation of Prince Abubakar Audu University Backery with supply of Delivery Van, Dekina LGA.
38. Lamina bypass road Anyigba, connecting Egume, Dekina LGA. (To commence soon)
39. Construction of Zonal Police station in Anyigba, Dekina LGA (Ongoing)
40. Supply of medical equipment and drugs to General Hospital in Dekina, Dekina LGA.

OFU LGA:

53.Training and empowerment of women and youths in Agricultural Farm Produce, Omala LGA.
54. Youth and women Skills acquisition training and Empowerment program, Omala LGA.
55.Supply of 500KVA transformer and electrification of Igodo community, in Omala LGA.

BASSA LGA:
56. Supply of tractor and farm implements, Bassa LGA.
57. Construction of solar powered borehole in Agodo, Bassa LGA.
58. Construction of solar powered borehole in Elule, Bassa LGA.
59. In 2020, Distinguished Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho) moved a motion before the Senate, called on Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs & Disaster Management and other relevant organizations to provide aid for the displaced persons and communities in Bassa local government in Kogi state. Given the Senator’s follow up, attention was given immediately, relief materials was provided in large quantity. The people had since been reunited back to their respective villages.

IDAH LGA:

83. In November,2021, Distinguished Senator Isah Jibrin ECHOCHO empowers his constituents across Kogi East with Cassava processing machine with startup Capital.
84. In November, 2021, Distinguished Senator Isah Jibrin ECHOCHO again empowered his constituents with sewing machine across the nine local government in his constituency.
85. In 2019, Distinguished Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho) moved a motion, urged FERMA to commence repair on Itobe-Ajaokuta Road, Kogi State.
86. In December, 2021, Distinguished Senator Isah Jibrin ECHOCHO empowered his constituents with Keke napep, motorcycle, hair dressing machines, and generator.
87. Distinguished Senator Isah Jibrin Echocho on different occasions, has supported students in Higher institution of learning with various forms of scholarships to enable them focus on their studies, and registration of Jamb and SSCE for ambitious students who couldn’t afford them.
88. Sen Isah Jibrin, during Senate valedictory session to mark their two years in office, callled on the federal government to provide legal backing to NATFORCE in order to close the obvious gap in the country’s security architectures, and many others.
89. In January, 2022, Distinguished Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho) empowered his constituents with hairdressing machine, catering equipment, generator, and gas cylinder across the nine local governments in his constituency.
