Happening Now: Road Closed Due Heavy Traffic Jam

Lokoja – Itobe road is currently closed due to heavy traffic jam on Itobe – bridge.

According to eye witness, Isah Wada, the traffic jam is occasioned by closure of one lane of the bridge which has forced commuters coming from the eastern part and those from the northern part of the country to use one lane.

As a result, thousand of motorists are currently stranded on the said bridge.

With this development, commuters coming from the northern and eastern part of the country are advised to take Okene rout or put the journey on hold until the situation improves.

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report ( 3: 52pm ) being 22nd December, 2020, member of federal road safety who were practically not on ground are yet to take action on the development.

Recall that  Similar incident occurred at the same spot of the road  earlier last month
