Udama Igala Worldwide, has described the recent political move by former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, to Social Democratic Party (SDP) head office Abuja ahead of 2027 presidential bid as a failed political venture saying, Nigeria do not need him.

The President of the group Alhaji Kerimu P, made this known through its National Secretary, Comrade Michael O Sani at Abuja on Monday being 1st April 2024.

The statement by the group said: ” the role played by Nasir El-Rufai in rigging Kogi 2019 gubernatorial election is still fresh in their memories”.

The statement added, “Nasir El-Rufai fraudulently aided Former Governor Yahaya Bello, to use Helicopter in rigging the said election with overvoting from Kogi Central in favour of Bello, of All Progressive Party (APC)”.

” The whole world knew Engr Musa Wada of Peoples’ Democratic Party ( PDP ), won the said election with big merging but Nasir El-Rufai a notorious election rigger, rigged the election”.

The statement further said : ” the same Nasir El-Rufai left huge debt in billion of dollars for Governor Sani, to inherit and now the state is unable to pay salary because of debt servicing “.

” Nasir El-Rufai also allocated substantial number of plots for himself, family members, associates and his girlfriends when he was Minister of Federal Capital Territory ( FCT ), Abuja under President Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo”.

” He misappropriated the money meant to settle indigenes of FCT who were original occupants of games village Abuja thus, reason why Nigeria often struggle to win matches on that ground because the said indegines have cursed the land that nothing good will come out of it until Nigeria settle them…

” Well, the story of Abuja national stadium is a story for another day in order not to digress”.

” It is even laughable that Nasir El-Rufai can even think that he will get the backing of SDP for presidential bid come 2027″.

” Kogi People and the rest of Nigeria are not that gullible to vote for Nasir El-Rufai”.

” We are now voting for personality not party and that’s why SDP won the last gubernatorial election in Kogi State before Bello and INEC cooked result for Ododo of APC”.

” Nasir El-Rufai with such an enormous questionable character is not fit to dear number one seat of Nigeria come 2027 or any other time”

Their statement stressed that “their support is for President Ahmed Bola Tinubu come 2027 if all things being equal “.

They said, “they are happy with President Ahmed Bola Tinubu that Judiciary is now getting back on track lamenting that under President Muhammadu Buhari, order were given from presidency to pass judgement”.

They concluded, ” We are behind President Ahmed Bola Tinubu as he sustains the tempo of justice in judiciary especially in the ongoing Kogi Tribunal case saying that, Tinubu must ensure that the right judgement is delivered from Tribunal through Appeal to Supreme Courts without presidency influence.

Udama Igala Worldwide is the largest sociocultural group in Kogi with power to influence over 70% voting population of the state.
