House of Representative Candidate under the platform of Peoples’ Democratic Party, ( PDP ), for Dekina / Bassa 2023, Honourable Usman Austin Okai, has lamented on the state of backwardness and under development in Ogbabede ward.

Honourable Usman Austin Okai, disclosed this at Ajogboni, the headquarters of the ward on Thursday being 8th December 2022.

Addressing the mammoth crowd while on “thank you visit” to the ward, Honourable Usman Austin Okai, recalled with great dismay that out of twelve wards in Dekina Local Government Area, Ogbabede as the largest and the most populated ward is the only ward without any serious government presence.

He speaks thus:
” It is unfortunate that in this jet age, it is only in Ogbabede ward that people travel in Kilometers and miles before they can access telecommunication network”.

” What would one say about hundred of pregnant women who died often as a result of lack of good Hospital?”

” If given the mandate, I would laise with Dr Victor Alewo Adoji ( PDP Flag Bearer, Senator For Kogi East ) and other stakeholders in Kogi East to ensure the area is given the needed attention” .

Okai who enjoyed a massive reception of home coming was in company of top party leaders including Dr Victor Alewo Adoji, the candidate for Kogi East senatorial constituency.

Also in a remark, the campaign Director General of PDP for Ogbabede ward, Pastor Enejoh Simon Sani, has thanked the candidates and top party leaders for visiting the area assuring that it shall be a block vote for PDP come 2023 adding that since the return of Democracy in 1999 till date, no party has ever won in Ogbabede ward other than PDP giving assurance that nothing would change that narrative by God’s grace come 2023 general election.

There were also good will messages from other party leaders in the area.
