Congregants of Solemn Faith International Church at Road 21 Plot 14 F.H. Estate Woji Port Harcourt were treated to a powerful message on the transformative power of dance before the Lord.
Pastor Matthew James delivered a stirring sermon titled “The Dance That Commands New Dawn,” drawing from Psalm 149:3 and 150:4.
In a lively service filled with fervent worship, Pastor James highlighted the blessings that accompany dancing before the Lord.
Drawing from scriptures such as Isaiah 65:8 and Jeremiah 31:4-13, he emphasized how dancing turns mourning and sorrow into joy.
The message resonated with the congregation as they reflected on instances from the Bible where dancing brought about miraculous breakthroughs.
“Marital battle can be turned to marital breakthrough on the altar of dancing before the Lord,” Pastor James proclaimed, citing Judges 21:21-23.
He urged the faithful to embrace dance as a means of attracting honour, dignity, and blessings from the Lord, referencing passages from 1 Samuel and 2 Samuel.
Throughout the service, Pastor James underscored the importance of dancing with all one’s might and unashamedly before the Lord.
He warned against the consequences of refusing to praise God through dance, citing Judges 16:25 as a cautionary tale.
In his closing remarks, Pastor James reiterated the transformative power of praise and worship.
“Praise brings deliverance and liberation in the life of the captive and total freedom,” he declared, encouraging congregants to embrace marathon praise as a pathway to mighty deliverance.
