The General Overseer of Solemn Faith International Church, located at Road 21, Plot 14, Federal Housing Estate, Woji, Port Harcourt, Pastor Matthew James Ele-Ojo, has urged Christians to abstain from every form of idolatry and cultivate a lifestyle of prayer and fasting to experience divine visitation and its attendant blessings.
Pastor Ele-Ojo gave the charge during Sunday’s worship service today while delivering a sermon titled, The Necessity of Divine Visitation, with scriptural references drawn from Genesis 21:1–6 and Revelation 3:8.
He described divine visitation as God’s timely intervention in the affairs of His people, bringing supernatural transformation, restoration and fulfilment of His promises.
According to him, divine visitation establishes believers in dominion through Christ, opens supernatural doors of opportunities, ushers in seasons of celebration, restores lost blessings, preserves lives and possessions, releases uncommon provision and favour, rescues people from destruction and satanic bondage, fulfils God’s promises to families, destroys the forces that oppose God’s children and connects believers with destiny helpers.
The cleric maintained that enjoying divine visitation requires believers to meet certain spiritual conditions.
He identified the rejection of idol worship, commitment to soul-winning through evangelism, consistent prayer and fasting, a lifestyle of thanksgiving and praise, understanding God’s appointed time and place, unwavering obedience to the Word of God, dedication to good works and sacrificial service as essential qualifications for attracting God’s visitation.
He declared that the Church is in a season of divine visitation, stressing that God’s visitation brings an end to human frustration and establishes believers for dominion rather than defeat.
He also added that whenever God opens a door, no one can shut it, noting that genuine restoration is only possible when God is involved and that the preservation of life depends on His abiding presence.
Pastor Ele-Ojo further encouraged Christians to make their voices of thanksgiving louder than the noise of their challenges, assuring them that divine visitation releases extraordinary favour and supernatural provision.
He reaffirmed that God’s visitation is certain because the Lord remains faithful to His covenant and unfailingly fulfils His promises.
The service featured soul-lifting ministrations by the church choir, Solemn Voice, alongside numerous inspiring testimonies from worshippers who shared remarkable accounts of God’s faithfulness, miraculous interventions and life changing encounters.
