The headquarters of Kogi East, Idah was yesterday  being 7th June 2023 shut down with an unprecedented mammoth crowd that staged a road show solidarity for gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka popularly known as “Muri”.

OurWorldGist’s Correspondent, Bashiru Alfa reported that, from Itobe bridge down to Idah town, there was an unprecedented vehicular movement with passagers waving and singing “Kogi KiMURIDA Jali”, “Muri, Light Has Come”, “Muri, Liberation Has Come”, ” Muri is you we want”, ” Muri for Lugard House 2023″ among other inscriptions.

Alfa also reported that cross section of people who showed up for the occasion, expressed great optimism that the time to liberate Kogi people from oppression and under development has finally come and that the right man to pilot the affairs, is certainly Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka of SDP

He added, numerous high profile politicians to also include Sam Abenemi, Deputy Governor Aspirant of SDP with other state men from Kogi West, Kogi Central and of course Kogi East were on ground to witness the ceremony.

He said Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka who later joined the road show assured the people in his speech that Kogi will witness all round and accelerated development if elected stressing that his government will be devoid of oppression, ethnic cleansing, discrimination and all forms of social engineering.

Muri, who was overwhelmed by the show of love by the people urged them to remain resolute as there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

Recall, Governor Yahaya Bello’s has on 6th June 2023 attacked Muri and his supporters at Nataco Lokoja from paying homage to traditional Rulers in Kogi State in order to seek for their royal blessings.
